Evil Dead Rise director Lee Cronin has been tasked to revive The Mummy franchise at the helm of a new film, which has just debuted a skin-crawling teaser.

Ahead of the release of Le Cronin's reimagining of The Mummy, here's everything you need to know about the upcoming horror flick!

Warner Bros. dropped our first look at The Mummy, the new horror movie from Evil Dead Rise's Lee Cronin yesterday – and boy, does it promise some gory frights. To hype us up even more, the filmmaker shared a statement teasing the film across his social media, too, though you'd have to be familiar with Morse code to figure out what it says.

The Mummy itself was a remake of the 1932 Boris Karloff film, however, it’s far surpassed its predecessor’s success. There was a more recent attempt to revive the franchise with Tom Cruise’s The Mummy in 2017, but it garnered negative reviews and failed to make the same impact as the 1999 version.
