Warner Bros. dropped our first look at The Mummy, the new horror movie from Evil Dead Rise's Lee Cronin yesterday – and boy, does it promise some gory frights. To hype us up even more, the filmmaker shared a statement teasing the film across his social media, too, though you'd have to be familiar with Morse code to figure out what it says.
The Mummy itself was a remake of the 1932 Boris Karloff film, however, it’s far surpassed its predecessor’s success. There was a more recent attempt to revive the franchise with Tom Cruise’s The Mummy in 2017, but it garnered negative reviews and failed to make the same impact as the 1999 version.
